Major structural tractor and trailer repairs, major repair of tractor engines, transmission and rear-ends are not included in the preventive maintenance program.

Equipment File

CTSC will keep and preserve equipment files to ensure equipment is adequately maintained and in good condition. It is the policy of CTSC that the following information will be kept for each commercial vehicle covered under the preventive maintenance program:

Vehicle identification details, including the following:

  • Unit number, manufacture’s serial number or other identifying marks
  • Make and model of vehicle
  • Equipment year

Inspection records, including the following:

  • The nature of the inspection
  • Details regarding the work performed
  • The date of the inspection or when work took place and a record of the meter on the equipment at that time

Defect notices and details regarding any corrective work performed (notices provided by customer)
